It Takes Hope

Everyone has a dream.

Many little boys, at one point or another, fantasize about being a big league ballplayer, of hearing the roar of the crowd as they circle the bases after a titanic home run. Lots of young girls dream of being a beautiful princess, of wearing fantastic jewels and long, flowing gowns.

One Thing in Common
No matter what our dreams entail, they all start with a little faith. But what really drives them, what makes our dreams so precious, is the hope that someday we will attain them. Granted, the dreams of becoming a major league slugger or a famous princess are a little far-fetched. But what about the dream of, say, chopping ten strokes off of your golf handicap or owning your own little piece of the American Dream. Well, those goals are certainly well within reach. No one knows that better than Bart Hope.

Early Struggles
Bart and his wife, Martha, faced more than their share of tough times early on in married life. Only in their late teens and already on their own, they were charged with caring for the two youngest of Martha's nine siblings. As one can imagine, that made for some lean times for a young couple just starting out. But through it all, Bart and Martha never lost sight of their dreams. "We had faith, deep down, that one day we would be able to do the things we dreamed of," Bart says. "Some days, it was only those dreams that kept us going." In time, her brothers moved out on their own, leaving the Hopes with newfound time and the extra money needed for their own "dream home". They now nurtured their gardens, play golf, fish, even take occasional vacations. In short, they are now finally able to live their dreams.

Time away from the office usually finds Bart and his wife walking on the beach, biking in one of the many the local parks, or working in their backyard garden.
